I know it's been a lo-o-o-ong time since I've been on my blog. It is now spring 2020 and the snow is melting away slowly and the ice on the lake is gradually breaking up. We have had some beautiful mild sunny days which I have enjoyed while sitting on our porch.
We are having a very different spring this year due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Everyone needing to stay isolated and all the shops closed (except grocers basically). So it has been a quiet time and lonely. I am missing the interactions and activities of A Place for the Arts in Bancroft https://www.apfta.ca/. And the coffees and comfortable hanging out at The Muse cafe
next door.
One good thing about the isolation is that I have been able to get more painting done. (And also be able to get the gardens ready for growth at a relaxed pace)
I am posting a set of four of my latest paintings. If you know me, you know that one of my most favourite things to paint is animals. With motivation from a painting class I was lucky to attend last fall given by my cousin, Kathie http://kathiewright.blogspot.com/ in Hanover, my first attempt was "Happy Sheep". I completed this at home, followed by "Contented Kitty", "Hairy Highlander", which I had real fun with, and then "Joey" (our boxer/bulldog). They each have their own character!
Hopefully I will be getting some new visitors to by blog through a notice posted at A Place for the Arts. Enjoy! And keep checking back.
