Well, I've had a busy summer painting. I don't know if this is due to Covid-19 or my new art studio. Probably a combination of both.
Anyways, I have been doing themed series of paintings. My first series was animal faces. You can see those in my April 2020 post. I really enjoyed doing those.
I also did some paintings of city scapes from our trip to Lucerne, Switzerland. Here is one example:
You can see the historic covered bridge in the distance. But what I really was interested in capturing was the filigreed railing in the foreground. This is a bit more simplified from the original. I also wanted to capture the clouds in the sky and the evening glow.

This is such a great piece, Carol, with good depth, and beautiful work on the railing. I really enjoyed looking back on your work in acrylics. I hope you can keep painting in the house now that your studio is too cold!
